When probing for multiple targets, stripping and re-probing a single membrane instead of running and blotting multiple gels have the advantage of saving samples, materials, and time. The well-known mild stripping protocol is only effective when antigen-antibody binding is relatively weak while harsh protocol often removes the membrane-bound antigens.

Easter Blot™ stripping buffer effectively separates antigen-antibody complexes while minimizing denaturation and loss of antigen using the principle of affinity chromatography. No reducing agent such as β-mercaptoethanol is used, so there is no odor and has a good preservability.
