Quanti-Micro^TM Microbial Viability Assay Kit is an easy to verify viability of Bacterial Cell with Colorimetric Method. WST-8, a water soluble Tetrazolium salt, reacts with NAD(P)H, an Electron Mediator produced by the metabolism of microorganisms, to produce water-soluble orange Formazan (Detection at 450 nm). The resulting water-soluble Formazan increases in proportion to the number of living microorganisms.
