상품 상세설명

Description

Catalase is an antioxidant enzyme present in most living plants and animals. This enzyme is known to be involved in the decomposition of H2O2 or reactive oxygen species (ROS), which are toxic by-products of aerobic metabolism. Catalase exhibits catalytic activity and peroxidatic activity. Through catalytic activity, catalase converts two molecules of H2O2 into one molecule of oxygen and two molecules of water. Through peroxidatic activity, catalase acts as an electron donor to oxidize low molecular weight alcohols. It is known to be involved in the H2O2 degradation reaction mainly in the liver, kidney, and erythrocytes in the human body.

OxiTec™ Catalase assay kit enables accurate catalase measurement with high sensitivity and a simple test method. It can measure catalase with the small amount of 50 mU/mL and use both fluorescence and absorbance measurement methods.
